Nina Barraco is a researcher and visual artist who resides in Detroit, MI. She holds a BA in Art and Design with a minor in Art History from the University of Michigan, as well as a Graduate Certificate in Program Evaluation. Nina has always had an interest in interdisciplinary work and has garnered experience in a wide range of disciplines, from art conservation to archaeology and anthropology. Her diverse background constantly informs her work as a researcher and visual artist.

Outside of work, Nina has volunteered as a literacy mentor and art therapy assistant at nearby nonprofits that support children. Whether it’s through community service, her part-time bartending gig, or her recreational soccer team, Nina exercises an affinity for working with people and bringing her creative and observational skills to their service.
