prioritizing the needs of people & communities
UX/UI and web development for Great Blue Orange Consulting, based in Traverse City, Michigan.
breathable & accessible
The target audiences for this website are potential clients and community members interested in community-based initiatives, the public sector, and politics. Since not every user will be tech savvy, it was imperative that the website architecture be approachable and easy to navigate.
User testing breakdown
User testing was conducted remotely and in person over the course of 11/12/18-11/26/18. Five people comprised the user testing group, that represented various constituents of their target audience.
01. Area of focus
Clarity of organization and content.
02. problem statement
Easily navigable site that is visually consistent.
03. hypothesis
The site is easy to navigate and adequately conveys her brand.
04. target users
Community members, tax-exempt people.
While the hypothesis was proven correct, two major insights arose from user testing: the first was a need to be more deliberate when choosing images of the community, and the second was the need to develop more content in regards to case studies and her services.
developing a responsive & scalable website
In addition the UX/UI of this website, I also developed it. The primary languages used included HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. My code can be found on Github. The website is temporarily hosted on Github pages.
